Eucharist
Also known as Holy Communion, the Eucharist is a central sacrament celebrated during the Mass. Through the consecration of bread and wine, Catholics believe in the real presence of Christ’s body and blood. This sacrament nourishes the faithful and unites them with Christ and one another.

Are you an adult seeking to receive the sacraments of Confirmation, or First Holy Communion in the Catholic Church? Our Adult Sacramental Preparation program is here to walk with you on your journey of faith.
Through prayer, study, and community, adults prepare to receive the sacraments and enter more fully into the life of the Church. Whether you’re new to Christianity, coming from another faith tradition, or a baptized Catholic who has not yet completed your Sacraments of Initiation, we welcome you.

Baptism
Baptism is the first sacrament and the foundation of Christian life. Through water and the Holy Trinity, a person is freed from original sin, reborn as a child of God, and welcomed into the Church. It marks the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith.
Confirmation
Occurring later in life, usually during adolescence, Confirmation is a sacrament where individuals reaffirm their commitment to the Christian faith. Through the laying on of hands and anointing with holy oil, candidates receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit to strengthen their bond with God.
Eucharist
Also known as Holy Communion. First Holy Communion is when a baptized Catholic receives the Eucharist, the true Body and Blood of Christ, for the first time. Through this sacrament, children deepen their relationship with Jesus and become more fully united with the Church. Preparation includes learning about the Mass, the Eucharist, and living the faith within the family.
Reconciliation (Confession)
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a healing encounter with God’s mercy, where sins committed after Baptism are forgiven. Through confession, repentance, and absolution, the penitent is reconciled with God and the Church. This sacrament restores grace, brings spiritual peace, and strengthens the heart to live a renewed life in Christ.
Anointing of the Sick
Formerly known as Last Rites, this sacrament is not only for those at the end of life but for anyone facing serious illness. Through the anointing with holy oil and prayers, the Church seeks to bring spiritual and physical healing, as well as strength in times of suffering.

Holy Orders
This sacrament is reserved for men called to serve the Church as bishops, priests, or deacons. Through the laying on of hands and prayer, individuals receive the grace and authority to carry out their sacred duties in leadership, pastoral care, and service.

Matrimony
Matrimony is a sacred covenant in which a man and a woman are united for life before God and the Church. Through this sacrament, couples receive grace to love faithfully, grow in holiness, and reflect Christ’s love. Marriage preparation helps couples prepare spiritually and practically for this vocation.
